Amanda Schmidt, LPC
Amanda has worked in education for 17 years with 11 of those being a school counselor. She has focused on crisis work for the last six years inside and outside of the school setting. She has extensive experience with those struggling with suicidal ideation and non-suicidal self-injury. After a crisis, it’s important to have ongoing support and to be met without judgment. Amanda has experience working with trauma, depression, and anxiety and integrates animal therapy into her practice. Parker, her certified therapy dog, works alongside Amanda adding another layer to her deeply therapeutic work.
Amanda enjoys working with ages 9 and up and with parents needing support dealing with children struggling with mental health concerns. Amanda works with Parker, her certified therapy dog.
